If Nashville’s on Your Agenda, Here’s What to Wear

I’m heading to Nashville at the end of the month, and while I’m definitely looking forward to the country music, the incredible food, and the adventures of Broadway, I’m even more excited to figure out what I’m wearing. Now if you’re anything like me, and you’ll just be there for a quick weekend, you’re probably already bummed about the missed outfit opportunities. But, if you’re lucky enough to have more than a few days down south, you’ve got a lot to pack for, and we’ve got you covered.

A Day at the Park

Let’s say your trip starts off on a chill note, and all you have to do today is get dressed to enjoy the outdoors and relax at Centennial Park. In this case, let’s keep it simple. We’ll subtly lean into the country vibe with things like overalls and floral prints, but we’ll pair them with basic white tees and linen pants to keep it casual. Even though your day might be lazy, doesn’t mean your outfit has to be.

A Few Hours by the Water

You can’t go wrong with the Nashville Riverfront. While some of us might be opting for a lounge chair and a cushy towel, others might be hopping on a booze cruise. Regardless, these pieces will have you ready for whatever your day on the water may have in store. Keep things monochromatic if you’re struggling to decide on an outfit, and when in doubt, grab something crochet; We’re all over this trend, and the bucket hat trend right now.

Brunch & Shopping

For those of you vacationing in Nashville on a girl’s trip, for a bachelorette party, or as a reunion with your besties, our biggest recommendation is to bring in some color! You’ll see quiteeee the outfits on Broadway, and if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. Match the warm energy of the city with pops of pink and romantic florals, or add some edge with a statement pant and your favorite sunnies.

Country Dive Bar

Now this is where I say you can go all in with the cowgirl aesthetic. If you’re planning on spending a night at the legendary Toonie’s or the iconic Honky Tonk Central, you’ll need to pick up a few things. Denim is the name of the game here, and we’re not just talking about pants, we’re talking head-to-toe: dresses, mini skirts, jackets, vests, and crop tops. Pair any form of denim with some brown, throw on a cowboy hat and some boots, and you’ll fit right but your outfit will still shine.

A Night Out

Let’s think of this category as your next stop after that country dive bar. You stop back at your hotel for a quick change and refresh, and are ready to head back out for a night full of memories and future stories to tell. Crop tops, corsets, and tube tops are never a bad idea, especially when you pair them with a micro mini. As we mentioned before, opt for browns to get into the country spirit, or mix it up with these icy grays and shades of green.
